The solo exhibition of English artist Michale Walton called “Canvases with the aspect of conciousness” was opened in August in the Studio. His works done with oil on canvase were all painted or finished in Valjevo and all were inspired with his staying in our town and life here. His paintings are full of contrast, with totally opossite motives like order and chaos, science and mithology, black-white and colour, different style mixture like expresionism and pop-art. All of this force the observer to find balance and to ask himself pristine questions like existance, urge and purpose of institiutions and relationships, nature interpretation and the human role in it. This show got very good art critics and very good marks in media. After the preimier in the Studio this show was presented in the “Aviation Galery” in Zemun.
As every summer International Art Studio took place in the city festival “Tesnjar Nights”. For that occasion Studio organized multi-medial evening and showed short movies made by young English artist Lee Cavalier. Movies were accompanged with a music performed by Music School “Zivorad Grbic” Professors Suzana and Snezana Radovanovic. They prepared special music collage for the films which exalted all visitors.
