International Art Studio “Radovan Trnavac Mića” was founded on 15 Septembar 1997 to make spiritual connections between people all over the world and to achive this with a help of art. It has been situated in an old building which once was a place for trading and catle measuring. The building was redecorated and made for present art purposes. Assitant of Serbian Culture Secretary Mr. Vasilije Tapuskovic attended the ceremony and symbolycaly opened the Studio. In addition to lot of art lovers and respectors, the ceremony attended artist from New York Mr. Stephen Kerner, who had the honour to be the first one to represent his works to Serbian and Valjevo audience. His paintings are in many galleries, museums and private collections all over the world. Originality, liveness and great spirit are the maine characteristics of his painting. A relationship between people and nature is what he is focused on. He presented ten of his big format paintings where colours and technique describe people in different life situations. All ten were painted in the last two years.
This was Mr. Kerner’s first time in Serbia and in the Balkan, and he left Studio a great present – painting “Waiting For the Miracle”. Stephen Kerner’s solo exhibition exceeded huge publicity and had very positive art critics in media.
