The first evening of the festival “Tešnjar Nights” at the International Art Studuio was opened a group exhibition of current Aboriginal artists from Australia.
Australian Indigenous contemporary art is a vital part of one of the world oldest continuous cultural traditions. This kind of art is present today in the world’s cultural capital cities, and is recognized as a genuine artistic expression.
Since the early 1970s, Aboriginal contemporary art is filled with amazing diversity and energy. Critics have described it as art that has full meaning at the moment.
It has been presented 18 original works made by oil and acrylic on canvas. All these works represented the traditional symbols and designs specific to Aboriginal culture.
