On 14 January the Internacionlanom art studio organized handing out presents to children without parental care in Valjevo. Organizer`s wish was that the first day of the Serbian New Year starts with joy to those children in need na dto make them happy. This humanitarian gesture actually started on 23 December 2009 at the opening ceremony of the exhibition “The meaning of the soul is thought, and I paint as I think” by Radovan Trnavac Mica. The idea was to buy New Year’s gifts for 40 children without parents with money from the sale of reproductions signed by the author of the exhibition, which are printed instead of the catalog and to cheer those children up. Art lovers, and people of good will from our city and Belgrade, who visited the exhibition, generously accepted the invitation to participate in our humble venture. Organizers collected approximately 30,000.00 dinars, which is not negligible amount in these difficult times. Printing shops “Valjevo Print” and “Bosis”, company “Irma” and the framing studio “Vitez” also participated in this event by giving calendars, diaries, pens, special tube packaging posters and other material as gifts to children.
