After twelve years the International art studio organized exhibition of recent paintings and objects of Radovan Trnavac Mića, idea creator and founder of this cultural institution. His motto and guiding principle has been taken as the name of the exhibition „The sense of soul is thought, and I paint as I think“.
Mr. Trnavac this time presented 18 paintings and objects of medium and large formats that have been painted in the past 2 years. Same works will be exhibited in 2010 in in the Gallery of the Slovak Union of Visual Arts in Bratislava, and then in Trnava.
As in the past 3 decades new Trnavac’s works were provocative, powerful, penetrating, instant appealing and they require interpretation. Quite attractive as a theme, are in step with time, causing the reaction, or force us to think and to solve it as some kind of a riddle.
The exhibition, which is symbolically marked the completion of a successful exhibition season in the International art studio was more reason to start a small humanitarian action. Namely, from the sale of posters with reproductions and signature by author himself Studio decide to buy Serbian New Year’s joy gifts intended for children without parental care in Valjevo.
In addition to International Art Studio, printing firm „Valjevo Print“, the company „Irma“ and studio „The Knight“ joined the this humble humanitarian gesture.
Valjevo’s Youth Choir „Abrašević“ conducted by Prof. Dragan Vasiljević performed French and Italian serenades at the Trnavac’s exhibition opening ceremony. Also, poet Ljuba Pjevčević recite the song dedicated to the great Serbian painter Nadežda Petrović.
